Samuel L. Jackson is an American actor and producer who has appeared in over 150 films and television shows. He was born on December 21, 1948, in Washington, D.C., and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Jackson’s acting career began in the 1970s when he appeared in stage productions and small film roles.

One of Jackson’s most significant breakthrough roles came in 1991 when he played a small but memorable part in Spike Lee’s “Jungle Fever.” He later went on to star in Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” in 1994, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
