Randy Macho Man Savage was a professional wrestler and actor who was born as Randall Mario Poffo on November 15, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio. He started his wrestling career in the late 1970s and rose to fame in the 1980s as a flamboyant and charismatic performer in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which is now known as the WWE.

During his wrestling career, Savage won numerous championships, including the WWF Championship, the WCW Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship. He was known for his intense and colorful promos, which were often delivered with his trademark raspy voice. His signature move was the Flying Elbow Drop, which he used to finish off his opponents.

Savage was also involved in a famous WrestleMania III match against Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time. The match was praised for its athleticism, storytelling, and technical proficiency.

Outside of wrestling, Savage appeared in several movies and TV shows, including Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, and was a spokesperson for Slim Jim snacks. He also released a rap album called Be a Man in 2003.

Tragically, Savage passed away on May 20, 2011, at the age of 58, after suffering a heart attack while driving in Florida. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
