Jon Kent is a fictional character created by DC Comics. He is the son of Clark Kent (a.k.a. Superman) and Lois Lane. The character was introduced in the comic book series Convergence: Superman #2 in May 2015.

The Origin of Jon Kent

Jon Kent was conceived before DC Comics’ “rebirth” event, which altered the continuity of the universe. In the previous continuity, Superman and Lois Lane had a son who was named after Clark’s adoptive father, Jonathan Kent. However, after the “rebirth” event, the character was reintroduced with a new origin story.

In the new continuity, after Superman and Lois Lane were married, they had a son who was half-human and half-Kryptonian. The boy, named Jon Kent, was born with superhuman abilities like his father but had to learn to control and use them. He was raised by his parents in secret from the world until he could understand his abilities and how to use them for good.
