Early Life and Career

Džeko began his footballing career with local club Željezničar Sarajevo before moving to the Czech Republic to play for Teplice and later to Germany to join Wolfsburg. He was instrumental in helping Wolfsburg win the Bundesliga in the 2008-2009 season, scoring 26 goals in 32 appearances.

Success in Europe

Following his success with Wolfsburg, Džeko made a move to Manchester City in January 2011, for a transfer fee of £27 million.
