Dylan O’Brien is an American actor and musician who rose to fame for his outstanding performances in various popular movies and television series.
Born on August 26, 1991, in New York, O’Brien is the son of Lisa and Patrick O’Brien. He grew up in Springfield Township, New Jersey, and attended Mira Costa High School.
While in high school, O’Brien was interested in sports and played drums in a local band. He was also interested in acting, and in 2011, he landed his breakout role as Stiles Stilinski in the MTV supernatural teen series, Teen Wolf.
O’Brien has won numerous awards and nominations for his performances, including two consecutive years of Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Sidekick, and a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Program for his role in the web series, The Maze Runner: The Death Cure.
O’Brien has also appeared in several movies including The Maze Runner and its sequels, Deepwater Horizon, American Assassin, and Love and Monsters.
Aside from acting, O’Brien is also known for his talent as a musician. He is the drummer of a band called Slow Kids at Play, and has also written a few original songs.
