Corey Kluber is a professional baseball pitcher who plays for the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB), he was born on April 10, 1986, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. Kluber attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he played college baseball for the Stetson Hatters from 2005 to 2007.

Kluber was selected by the San Diego Padres in the fourth round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft and made his MLB debut for the Cleveland Indians in 2011. He became a full-time starting pitcher in 2013 after spending the previous two seasons as a reliever, and quickly rose to become one of the top pitchers in the league.

Kluber has won two American League Cy Young Awards, in 2014 and 2017, and finished third in the voting in 2016. He is known for his exceptional control, pitching repertoire, and the ability to perform in important games. Over the course of his career, Kluber has amassed a record of 98-58 with a 3.16 ERA, 1,461 strikeouts, and 47 complete games.

Kluber has been named to three All-Star teams and has also been a finalist for the Warren Spahn Award twice. He is known for his work ethic and dedication to the game, and is widely respected by his teammates and opponents alike. Kluber is also known for his charitable work off the field, including his support of the “Pitching In For Kids” charity in Boston and the “Wins For Warriors” foundation in Cleveland.

In December 2020, Kluber signed a one-year contract with the New York Yankees, where he will join a talented pitching staff and look to lead the team to another World Series championship.
