Early Life and Career

Jericho, whose real name is Christopher Keith Irvine, was born on November 9, 1970, in Manhasset, New York. His family later moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he attended high school. Jericho began wrestling while in high school and won several championships in both individual and tag team competition.

Jericho’s professional wrestling career began in Mexico in 1990. He later joined Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), where he wrestled under the name Lionheart. In 1996, Jericho signed with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and made his television debut on June 17, 1996. He went on to win multiple championships during his time with the company, including the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and the WCW World Television Championship.

WWE Career

In 1999, Jericho signed with the WWE (then known as the World Wrestling Federation). He made his debut on August 9, 1999, interrupting The Rock with his catchphrase “Will you please shut up?”. Jericho’s WWE career spanned over a decade and included multiple championships, including the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship.

Personal Life

Jericho married his high school sweetheart, Jessica Lockhart, in 2000. They have three children together. Jericho is also a musician and has released multiple albums with his band, Fozzy.
