Charlie Chaplin – The Iconic Silent Film Star
Charles Spencer Chaplin, popularly known as Charlie Chaplin, was a British actor, filmmaker, and composer. He rose to fame in the early 20th century and became one of the most iconic figures in the entertainment industry.
Chaplin was born in London in 1889 and grew up in poverty. He started his career in the entertainment industry as a child performer, and later, as a vaudeville actor. In 1913, he joined Keystone Studios, where he created his first memorable character, ‘The Tramp.’
