Benzema, whose full name is Karim Benzema, is a French professional football player currently playing as a forward for Real Madrid and the French national team.

Born on December 19, 1987, in Lyon, France, Benzema began his football career as a youth player for the local club Bron Terraillon before joining Olympique Lyonnais in 1996, where he made his professional debut at the age of 17.

During his time at Lyon, Benzema won four consecutive Ligue 1 titles and was named the French Player of the Year in 2008. He also scored a total of 66 goals in 148 appearances for the club.

In 2009, Benzema joined Real Madrid on a six-year deal for a fee of €35 million. Since then, he has become one of the most successful players in the club’s history, winning four Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and three FIFA Club World Cups.
